UN launches measles vaccination campaign in Somalia targeting children

The U.N. children’s agency, UNICEF has launched an emergency measles campaign in Baidoa targeting 30,000 children in the town. Many of the children have been displaced by an ongoing drought and have never been immunized. The number of deaths from measles has fallen by 79 percent world-wide since 2000, but nearly 400 children still die from the disease every day.
